Check other accounts<\/h2>\n<p>If the same password was reused elsewhere, update those accounts as well.<\/p>\n<h2>3. Review forwarding and mailbox rules<\/h2>\n<p>Attackers sometimes create forwarding rules to silently copy incoming messages to another address.<\/p>\n<h2>4. Review sent messages<\/h2>\n<p>If unauthorized messages were sent, inform affected employees, customers or partners.<\/p>\n<h2>5. Notify the administrator or technical team<\/h2>\n<p>Business account incidents should be reviewed at both the mailbox and server-security level.<\/p>\n<h2>6.
